On last week’s episode of the popular series Breaking Bad, there was a dialogue between Walter and his lawyer/consultant, Saul Goodman, in which Saul suggests Walter to send someone on a one-way trip to Belize; in other words sending them off to swim with the fishes (murdering them). Walter disagrees and makes the remark, “I’ll send YOU to Belize”.
Meanwhile, in the real world…..
While viewers enjoy this dramatic series, many might get the wrong impression of Belize. However, Belize Tourism Board sees the reference as a golden opportunity. They have launched a campaign to offer the entire Breaking Bad cast on an all-inclusive trip to Belize after the season finale. Belize Tourism is taking a very unique approach and changes the whole situation from negative into positive. Check out the invitation below.
After this wonderful offer to the cast of Breaking Bad, could Belize Tourism get more publicity? Could you imagine all the hype that would be created from the cast enjoying their time in Belize, after their hard work in making the six last episodes of the season? After all, this is an amazing way to build brand awareness and increase market share. Another interesting point to consider: how can we be sure that these actors and actresses will accept the offer. I think they make enough money to afford a couple thousand dollars to spend on an all-inclusive trip to Belize. Either way, by tweeting the Breaking Bad cast a special personal offer to each character, the tourism company is already gaining publicity regardless of whether they accept or not. We will find out in the near future whether they even accept the offer. In the meantime let’s enjoy the show!
