Three days of entertaining festivities, unpredictable weather and an array of multi-ethnic dishes, Guelph’s annual festival has finally come to an end.

It has been a very humbling experience for the Mao|Marketing crew to participate in the Guelph Multicultural Festival, as well as donating to them our AppInEvent App. It’s safe to say that our affiliation with the Festival has only opened more doors in filling the void of ‘Social Responsibility’ that many Companies fail to live up to. The City of Guelph has remained consistent in its ranking of Canada’s top cities; In fact it has ranked 3rd in Reader’s Digest: The best Canadian Cities to raise a family. These results can only be that of a united effort by the  local Government, Private-Sector and the general public/consumers.

This effort of social responsibility has refined our mission at Mao|Marketing. As a relatively new but experienced Company, we understand that profit is not the only fuel and end-point to our success. The fact that we can be labeled as “the cool and reputable company across the street” also restores the zeal and passion in our efforts.

Let’s get a little technical. What in the world is Appinevent?

“App-in-event” is a conference/event planning app designed to keep attendees in tune and up to date with the event or conference at hand. Mao|Marketing can develop and customize a dynamic app for any type of conference/event. The attendees have access to all the information they need at the palm of their hands.

Appinevent integrates into your app:

  • An Organization’s logo, colour and theme.
  • Ability to dynamically update the schedule of your event.
  • Twitter and RSS feed.
  • Directions to the event.
  • Bios for each speaker.
  • Any additional information about the event.
