Amazon has recently presented their vision of parcel delivery. Autonomous flying drones that can deliver your purchases within 30 minutes.
Here is the big question, is this the real thing, or just a marketing gimmick? The truth is, that it seems Amazon is really planning to have a flying drone delivery service in the not to distant future. The technology is available today to make it possible, where the challenges are mainly legal. For example, what if a child gets in the way of a drone that is coming in for a landing? Just the approval process alone, could take many years.
In the end, if Amazon is not able to successfully implement their drone service, they will still have achieved the much desired result of getting people talking about their brand.
